Via Skype Journal, news that internet phone service provider Skype now has a second public blog - Developer Zone.

From a post in Share Skype, the first Skype blog launched in May:

Developers who want to keep up with the latest happenings, plans, releases, and news from Skype and the Skype Developer Zone have a new resource. With the launch of the Skype Developer Blog, we want to raise the frequency and transparency in our communications with developers and bring the conversation to the forefront. It is simple, straight forward and to the point, but will continue to grow and evolve over the coming weeks. It's a start in the right direction and an invitation to join the conversation.

The graphic at the top of the Share Skype blog includes this number - 136,070,935. That's the cumulative total of downloads of the free Skype software that lets you make phone calls to and from your PC. And last month, Skype reported 10 billion Skype-to-Skype call minutes served since August 2003.
